In Finland, the winters are long, cold and dark. This harsh environment is all the more reason for producer Marko Nyberg to gather up his musician pals --around 20 in all -- to stay indoors and create this ingenious studio creation. With Husky Rescue, Nyberg, a TV sound designer and movie buff, has built a multitextured collection of voice (airy female vocals), instruments (the twang of slide guitar mixed with synths) and artful slices of film dialogue to assemble scenes that approximate a modern Morricone-like spaghetti western with no shootouts, just basking in the sonic sunshine. |
