Yet another alias from the super villain MF Doom, King Geedorah is a 500-pound, three-headed space monster with a penchant for abstract yet sophisticated wordplay and consistently grimy beats. After doing his thing with the Monsta Island Czars, Geedorah flies solo on 2003's excellent Take Me To Your Leader, spitting wisdom over Doom's trademark loopy production. The album's featured guests include M.I.C. compadres Jet Jaguar (GM Grimm), Rodan and Gigan, as well as Biolante (aka Kurious) and Scienz of Life. Take Me is a victory for one of hip-hop's most prolific and unpredictable artists. |
