Mercy Rule bassist/singer Heidi Ore's songwriting is every bit as uppity and uncompromising as your average Riot Grrrl band. Unfortunately, it's also too smart and too subtle to ever win the band a large following among belly-button piercing, closet Seventeen readers. Unlike many Indie bands, Mercy Rule aren't just making noise for noise's sake. They dare to install their raucous pop opuses with disarming sincerity.
