visually inspected. Cds are graded mostly on how they play (which either they do or don't!) Scuffed discs that play perfectly, for example, are usually graded M-Grading is cover/disc
(No grade "*" indicates a generic cover, used
on many promos, 12" and 7" singles)
Sealed (SS) Still Sealed
Never opened or played.
M Mint
Has been opened, but with minimal play no obvious wear.
M- Mint Minus
Almost perfect, with little wear.
VG+ Very Good Plus
Some wear and a few flaws, such as scuffs, but nothing major. Slight
noise at the begining of each side may be heard.
VG Very Good
The majority of records (worth selling) fall under this grade.
Vinyl: May crackle, pop or make other annoying noises, but not
continuously.
Cover: Normal used cover wear such as ring wear and split seams.
If there is abnormal damage such as tears or markings, it is noted.
VG- Very Good Minus
"Not pleasant but still has a little life left."
G+ Good Plus
May have continuous crackles, pops, etc... "Absolutely hopeless but
save it cause you probably won't find another one in any shape."
Cover: More than normal wear and tear... Oh, boy!

WLP=White Label Promo. Appears only on vinyl where the label is white and for promotional use.
