| Grading | Ordering and Payment | Shipping | Returns| Grading | MINT / M: The record is sealed or as new. The cover and any inserts should be in perfect condition. NEAR MINT / NM: The record is near-mint, there is no damage or visible surface marking. Under bright light you may see fine lines on the record, caused by rubbing on the paper sleeve. The cover and inserts are undamaged. EXCELLENT /M-: The record may show some signs of having been played, possibly with light surface marks or fingerprints but there is no appreciable lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. VERY GOOD / VG++ or VG+: This is the most usual grading for used records. There may be fairly visible surface markings but the sound quality of the record is not adversely affected. For VG+ the record has probably gathered dust, which may result in very short occasional crackle or noise. Most of the time, a good cleaning will bring your record back to a better and more enjoyable condition (believe me, I've tried it MANY times!). A VG+ may also present a few occasional short clicks. The cover and inserts may have noticeable light creasing or "foxing" due to dampness but they are all present and intact. Edges may show traces of age and printing on spine may sometimes begin to be slightly affected. For VG+ records, the cover may begin to show a slight ring or seams wear, probably due to placing on shelves. GOOD / VG: The record has obviously been played a lot, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality despite surface marks and some light scratches. The record has suffered perhaps one more visible scratch, but is otherwise in VG+ or better condition. The cover may be creased a little and/or frayed at the opening. There may be some ring or seams wear/split.
