The GEMM Rating System - How come all Sellers don't have 100% like other sites?

Ever notice how Sellers always seem to have near perfect ratings?
On GEMM, our Ratings = Fill Rate and Time to Ship, not Feedback.
A lot of Sellers might be selling in their own walk-in stores and on other sites.
They may have already sold what you ordered before they could update GEMM.
If that happens, and they can't fill your order, their rating goes down automatically. That is what we call the Fill Rate.

We do display feedback, you can read what customers say about Sellers, but it does not affect the Seller's ratings.

With our rating system, you can make an informed purchasing decision about Sellers before you buy from them.

Order Confirmations - I completed checkout, but my credit card has not been charged. Why?

You will not be charged or asked to pay until the Seller responds, confirming your order.
If the seller marks it as unavailable or does not respond, then you are never charged (and the Seller's rating goes down).
You can cancel the order at any time, or contact GEMM for a refund.

Refunds - Who should I contact first about a refund?

GEMM guarantees your payment independent of the Sellers and their policies, and independent of the credit card companies and paypal.
If you need any help with your order, contact the Seller. Sellers can issue refunds.

If you need a refund and the Seller doesn't take care of you, contact GEMM.
All payments processed by GEMM are guaranteed by GEMM. If you have a problem with an order, all you need to do is contact us.

If you do have to return your order to the Seller, GEMM offers to reimburse your return shipping and materials costs, if necessary.
