I`m the author of some 20 books with others on the way. I`ve been
asked where my ideas come from, I don`t really know: I try to
open my mind and free associate and notions pop out. Once in a
while once in a while an idea is worth pursuing.
Two of my best-selling novels -- The Swarm and Orca -- have been
major movies. A third, I.Q. 83, is under development by
Dreamworks. A nonfiction book, Vesco, has been optioned for a
film.
First I did journalism, public relations and politics and only
wrote my first novel when I was in my 40s. My intention was not
to run out of creative energy.
