MUSIC NOTES: the
three oldest cuts on the album - "Light My Fire", "Break On Through"
and "Love Me Two Times" have
been electronically reworked to bring
them up to "state-of-art fidelity." The group got the idea after
hearing and admiring
what David Rubinson and Francis Ford Coppola
had done with the original version of "The End" for use in "Apocalypse
Now."
The sound has NOT been changed, but modern studio equipment
has rendered them truer to their original recorded state.

apres avoir entendu et admire ce que David Rubinson et Francis Ford
Coppola avait fait avec la version originale de "The End" employee
dans "Apocalypse Now". Le son n'a pas ete change
mais des appareils
de studio modernes le rendent plus conforme a son etat orignal
d'enregistrement.
Greatest Hits is a compilation album by The Doors,
released in 1980. It was released in 1983 with red and black labels.
The album was re-released in 1996 as an enhanced CD with a different
track listing and cover art.
On the 1996 CD release, the songs The
Ghost Song, The End and Love Her Madly were added to the track listing,
whereas Not to Touch the Earth was omitted.
