Durante, contemporary of Bach and Handel, is first and foremost a
spiritual composer. His Requiem and Magnificat are masterpieces of
counterpoint in the art of choral music. Performed by the celebrated
Ars Nova choir, considered one of the best choirs on the Latin
American continent.
